We interviewed Siyamend Ali, spokesperson of YPG Press Office, in Heseke, following the attacks of Daesh to the al-Sina prison and the bombardments of the Turkish state simultaneously in Rojava, Shengal and Maxmur.
According to him, the attacks in Heseke were not only made by sleeper cells of Daesh, they had 6 months to 1 year of preparations, mainly in areas occupied by Turkey. Their plan was not only to attack the prison but to leave the city in a sea of blood.
While the United Nations and the European Union declared the defeat of ISIS, it used this situation to reorganize itself last 3 years. In 2021, the SDF made 800 actions against Daesh, an average of more than 2 per day. This is a sign that Daesh is growing bigger again.
