Resistance Diaries – Page 2 – Internationalist Commune

The Resistance Diaries are a collection of diary entries, written by internationalists here in Rojava. With these diary entries, we are documenting the participation of revolutionary youth from all over the world in the revolution of Rojava and the resistance against the attacks that want to annihilate this revolution. Since the Rojava revolution marks a new step of internationalism, we see the importance to archive and document the struggle and experiences of young people whose collaborative efforts give life to this internationalism.

We collected diary entries by friends who are involved in different parts of the struggle, from youth works to culture and self-defense structures. There reflections are also shaped by the reality of these fields. To protect an accurate picture of the different realities in these parts of the struggle, we decided not to edit the entries. Rather then analyzing the political and military processes in these last times, we decided to portray the emotions, reflections and views of the internationalists involved. In this way, we hope to contribute to an holistic understanding of the struggle and the processes happening here in Rojava and complete with this the political analysis. Because we are aware of the fact, the history is not something that happens, but somethings that is being made. And that it is not made just by a cast of those that exploit mankind and the planet for profit, but also by those, that are fighting everywhere for the protection of humanity and society.
