On May 9, 2010, the Iranian regime brutally and unjustly hanged 5 Kurdish politicians and revolutionaries. The stance of the people of Eastern Kurdistan and the Kurdish people in general is important because the Iranian regime resorts to the death penalty is out of its own weakness. The stance of the executed martyr Shirin Alamhouli is influencing, stating that women and the entire Kurdish people must first take the necessary message from her.
The kurdish freedom movement names the month of May as the month of martyrs. Many members of the movement lost their lives during this month. Therefore, this month is a spirit of raising the struggle. Remembering the martyrs is for the continuation and victory of the struggle. The struggle has been raised at a high cost in the four parts of Kurdistan. As is known, on May 9, 2010, five Kurdish revolutionaries—Shirin Alamhouli, Ferzad Kemanger, Ferhat Weqili, Ali Heydarian, and Mehdi Islamian—were executed by the bloodthirsty Iranian regime.
The martyrs of the gallows became a hope among the people with their legendary struggle. They defeated the oppressive policy among the people and awakened their nation. They demanded their legitimate rights. Because the Islamic Republic of Iran did not recognize the rights of the Kurdish people, it arrested them and subjected them to severe torture in prisons.
Today the people in Rojhilat stood up in resistance against the fascist Islamic regime and have hundreds of martyrs. Right now, in Iranian prisons, there are many people who are being sentenced to death and tortured. It is necessary that the stance of May 9, 2010, be shown again now. Today, the Iranian regime can no longer sustain itself and is collapsing. Because the Kurdish people have become aware and are demanding their rights, in this matter too, they are the heirs of their martyrs.
Shirin Elemhuli was a revolutionary woman who fought for the freedom of her people and for women. How do women live in the Middle East today? Women have no rights in the Middle East. Comrade Şîrîn, with her stance and her struggle, resisted to make women aware and to awaken the Kurdish people to the cause of freedom. In her letter, Comrade Şîrîn writes and says, ‘I have committed no crime. They are executing me because I am a Kurd. They are taking me to the gallows.’ This is an important message. Because you are Kurdish, you are being taken to the gallows. This is an important message. As a woman, she was executed under the Iranian Islamic regime for being a revolutionary and political woman who demanded her own rights and those of her people. This is primarily the duty of women and the Kurdish people as a whole.
Ferzad Kemanger, as a teacher, made his messages and letters a testament to the Kurdish people and Kurdish children. The stance of friends Ferhat, Ali, and Mehdi also became a symbol for the freedom of the Kurdish people. The Iranian regime’s refusal to acknowledge this reality and its hanging of Kurds.
The current war in Iran shows the necessity of a strong resistance from the peoples and thus follows the legacy of all the brave and courageous martyrs.
Şehîd namirin!
