As announced by the HPG (Hêzên Parastina Gel) press office on 25 September 2026, the internationalist Pablo Manuel Figueiras Duarte, nom de guerre Baran Nûjiyan Salema, lost his life in Qendil on 6 August 2025. Today we would like to commemorate a friend who dedicated his life to his convictions and the struggle for freedom.
Sara Dorşîn (Sarah Almuth Handelmann) was a German revolutionary who joined the ranks of the PKK guerrillas in 2017, driven by her commitment to socialist ideals and feminist principles. Through her studies and her political activism at the time, she went to Amed (Turkish: Diyarbakir) and shot the film “Xwebûn” there about the Kurdish resistance.
